Artist statement

The vast space of the Wimmera and Mallee regions of Victoria have come to influence and direct my arts practice to a place of refinement and expression of simple line and form. Coming from both macro and micro sources, the organic shapes in my work have emerged from the natural world without mimicking any specific specimen.

The use of building materials such as stainless steel, wood and plaster can seem quite removed from the rural landscape in which I live, but are a strong reminder of a life lived in busy cities and a suburban upbringing in Dublin.
