Artist statement

Although I dabble in fiction, poetry and song writing, I am primarily a visual artist. I consider my self a conceptual artist with a long term interest in myths. Due to an increasing social consciousness, my art and interpretations of stories are comments on society. For example, I am currently working on a project that is reinterpreting a well known children's story to make anti-fascist, anti-war statements. The mediums I use range from oil to pencil, to watercolour and textiles, with other mediums. I am open to considering any kind of  project for any kind of event. I want to create new things and make people think. I believe that art has a responsibility to draw attention to world issues.
