This joint exhibition by Alison Percy and Kim Passalaqua follows in the tradition of Impressionist artists painting en plein air. Their collaboration reveals a unique narrative across the riverine landscape from the Upper Murray to the Lower Riverland. An artists’ residency in the remote Clare Valley, South Australia became a turning point in their approach to landscape painting and inspired this exhibition.
This new body of work is a journey focussed on capturing unique traits in and around our localised land and river with plein air paintings. This body of work explores similar features in varied environments located along the river landscapes.
