This sculpture is a playful response to the stimulus of buttons. Buttons, used as ornamentation, recall the fabulous headdresses of the performers in the famous cabaret hall in Paris in the 1800s. This is paired with a play on the fastening function of buttons, transforming them into glasses that ward off all that is remiss of joy and beauty.
