Artist statement

I have worked in various different media over the years; my current work returns to my first love of watercolour and drawing.

Recent works reflect on my concerns as an artist, of time and sense of place, memory and dislocation. Informed by, but not bound by scientific and botanical illustration, these works are detailed examinations of my surroundings and ask questions about our place in nature, and the idea of cyclical time as it exists alongside the linear.

I am happy to  consider commissions and exhibition opportunities.
