Art level career
I grew up near a National Park and have a love of the natural world. As a volunteer bush regenerator I am passionate about Australian native plants. I’ve been creating inks from my garden, experimenting these past few years, for reasons of ecological sustainability, and for their unique beauty. My works now are a celebration of nature, a way to draw attention to the great diversity that is the Australian bush, and an effort to avoid contributing to the pollution of the planet.
A work of mine will be included in a Salon des Refuses in conjunction with the National Still Life Award 2019 at the Nexus Gallery Bellingen in October.
Most recently I've been working on a new assemblage project, called 'Co-existence' where I am combining found objects, such as a Pelican salt shaker found in a market in Uruguay with natural materials sourced from nature. We will need to find a way to work together to heal the planet.
