Artist statement

Making art is for me like Kintsugi, the ancient japanese art of rapairing pottery with gold.
Being a cancer survivor and affected by a chronic pain deasise, for many years I felt my body as something wrong. My art is an intime diary I want to share with the viewer. Every time I create a work I feel a renewed bond with my body, mind and soul.
Thorough the creative process I make on myself the art of the Kintsugi. Not broken anymore but repaired with gold to show new wonderful paths.
My colours come from the street art  and the billboard advertising of which I am a serial photographer. I work in Verona (Italy) and Berlin with its walls is my great source of inspiration.

I like to work mixing analogue and digital media. Collages with paper and/or multi-layered objects with touches of watercolour and other traditional techniques, then scanning adding paint and textures to arrive at the final digital print.

To me, the process of experimentation is crucial. I am currently interested in lomography with an old Diana F.
