Artist statement

Working across painting, printmaking, photography and textiles, my practice embodies love and respect for the land.  I use these emotions to explore and express traces of time and memory.  Current work intersects the tensions between human interaction with the natural world. I express these concerns about our increasingly vulnerable environment by using a variety of unorthodox, freestyle experimental processes often combining painting, printmaking and stitching. 
Colour is an important aspect in my work as I aim to capture a moment in time,  a response to beauty or to offer a deeper understanding into the growing pressure on the natural world.
