Artist statement

My work uses traditional methods and materials with a twist. I love to paint, print, draw, work with found objects, make textiles and embroider. 

I enjoy the agency I have when making my work as an independent artist who is concerned about our planet.

My artworks are a commentary on the issues facing the health of our planet from wanton consumerism, capitalism and polluting industrial practices. A feature of my work is investigating human induced climate change, species endangerment and industrial food processes.

I hope to engage viewers with these issues and promote pro environmental behaviour.

I am open to collaborations with like minded people in joint artworks, public art and group shows. I run workshops for the public associated with my practice.
