Posted by: Art Aviso News
As part of Art Aviso exhibitions events we like to include a live, engaging and interactive, informative element.
We are thrilled to announce the Skunk Control will join us for the 1.5 Degrees exhibition to exhibit an interactive, immersive art installation and provide a live presentation at Fortyfive Downstairs.
"Skunk Control create engaging and immersive experiences that provide audiences with a sense of wonderment and opportunities to make discoveries. Drawing on technology, design and art; our backgrounds in engineering, science and education; and our fondness for all things left of field, our creations are interactive and impactful. As well as creating public art installations (incorporating light, sound and kinetic movement), designing for exhibitions and for the stage, we also develop and run outreach and educational programs that focus on the art and science that underpins our creations.
We’re a highly enthusiastic group operating out of the bowels of Victoria University."
Skunk Control has gained international attention since they formed in 2012.
They have recently returned from Venice where they exhibited as part of the Venice Biennale.
They have been a popular choice for some of the world’s most innovative festivals and have exhibited their work in New Zealand, Portugal, Italy and Australia at:
- White Night Melbourne
- Lorne Sculpture Biennale
- Laneway Festival
- Adelaide Fringe Festival
- Gertrude Street Projection Festival
- Light in Winter Festival.
