Being a female artist, mother and wife this cloth connected on a personal level. I saw “Goddess” immediately when i received the piece of cloth. I adapted my normal process of working with marble mosaic by cutting a marble tesserae and placing it in paint, pressing it onto the cloth to achieve the image of an ancient roman mosaic-like Goddess. I also think of the connection of the piece of cloth and so many women in domestic roles.
