Watching my dog sitting at the top of a granite outcrop a glimpse of Thylacine. One of many losses in a shameful history. At the time that the Thylacine was being hunted to extinction my mother was a young teenager learning how to embroider. It seemed appropriate to combine and pay homage by combining thread with linoprint to remember and learn from the past.
The last year while a challenging and difficult time for many has also been a time that has allowed me the freedom to create and take part in a lot of art related activities. From printmaker challenges, art exchanges with other artists, art exchanges for charities, online exhibitions and virtual open studios it has been a creatively satisfying time. I look forward to more time to explore and experiment with printmaking and other mediums
