“Balancing act” is one of a gradually evolving series of digital images that I keep returning to work on. The image was printed onto canvas, sewn onto linen, and worked over with chinagraph and pen. This is part of a series reflecting on the power imbalances that impact on, and challenge, women.

I live and work in Melbourne. I attended the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). I have participated in a number of group shows in Japan (twice at Kyoto City Museum and three times at the International Art Centre of Kyoto) and in Australia. I have been a finalist in the Portia Geach Prize (twice), the John Leslie Art Prize, the Rick Amor Drawing Prize, the Alice Prize (twice) and others. I have had five solo shows in Melbourne and have won several awards. I have work in public and private collections including the City of Richmond collection (VIC), Diamond Valley Art Award Collection (VIC), Ministry of Housing (VIC), Araluen Centre (NT), Federation University Art Collection (VIC), and others.
